Well, the days of searching/pondering/agonizing over how to balance out my life as a writer and runner has finally come to an end and exposed its fulcrum: Write daily from 9 to 2:30 then run from 3 to 4:30+ every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, write from 7:30 to 4 and do weights/floor exercises from 4 to 4:30. Presto!
Truly, I’ve been so afraid of not finding the balance I need in my life. When I am not writing, I feel empty inside, dull, half empty versus half full. But now, my mind and body have found their togetherness–hallelujah!
Starting tomorrow, October 17th, I will rewrite the first chapter of BeBee and Mina, a story about friendship, racial discrimination, and young love, as per the advice of an agent. Also, add more description as to engage my reader more–don’t give everything up too fast.
Other than balance, learning about and improving on my writing skills are two important things I intend to do for the rest of my life, tenets of which without I would most likely never achieve my writing goals.
Wishing you all warm wishes and a promising future,
yms
